In my work as an author, I have been working very closely with the Helbling Verlag publishing house for many years.
I am perhaps best known as an author for my MusiX series of books.
MusiX Vol. 1 won the "digita" German education and media prize in 2013!
Abridged verdict of the judging panel on awarding the prize: "We were very impressed by the approach of designing music lessons on the basis of the music instead of reflecting on music."
There are now three volumes in the series covering all the school years. Schools and academies use MusiX Vol. I-III to give students an understanding of the subject of music with many different examples which also include an element of fun and enjoyment. The MusiX textbook is based on the principles of music teaching based on a foundation, allowing gradual progression and development of the relevant musical skills and abilities.
Music lessons move from dull theory to exciting reality with the varied multimedia applications in the MusiX series of books.
Aspects of music theory can be illustrated clearly on the PC, for example, with interactive play-along musical scores and resources to encourage own compositions.
Incidentally:
The Helbling Verlag publishing house also offers free workshops for MusiX run by myself. I might even be coming to a venue near you soon ;-) I demonstrate the many different practical advantages of MusiX (for students and teachers alike) and I am also available in the breaks to answer questions.
Why is MusiX 1-3 worthwhile for your music lessons?
Many of my books are eminently suitable as a basic introduction or an advanced resource for your choir or your choir project.
"Based on my practical experience for your day-to-day teaching experience and choir practice"... This is one of my maxims.
The award-winning books, such as Black Music, can also be found further down under "More publications" if you click on resources.
